Fic Recs

I've been reading fic since December 24, 2009. Dean/Cas came out of nowhere and I just couldn't ignore it. First I tried fanfiction.net. It's the first place I always try, but it hasn't been all that reliable for a while now. The best place I've found is LiveJournal. 

First thing you'll have to know is a little fandom slang. When I first started, Google led me here but my recs don't need require all of that information so I've supplied my own...fictionary. lol.

Groped by and Angel is THE place for all things Dean/Cas. I found it at deancastielnews and happened back somehow with RS&F, but it wasn't until I'd blown throw there that I finally gave deancastiel the credit it deserves...and I haven't left since. :D deancastiel: recs

deancas_xmas was a great place to start. Before this site, all I'd found was established relationship crap and I just wasn't there yet. Dean's a lady's man and him with a guy...well, angel in a guy-shaped package...was just, no. The undeniable sexual attraction on the other hand...but love? Not yet. The Fireplace of Dean/Castiel was...okay. The search on LiveJournal offered this, so I clicked it. I even managed to find some good fic here, but it's not one of my faves. It's also seasonal, like deancas_xmas. Anyway, recs: dc_fireplace

It didn't take long to go thorugh everything at deancas_xmas and after following MANY links from that site, I came across the Dean/Castiel Newsletter. There were about 42 posts at that point...big difference from 112... Anyway, I went back through all the fics I'd bookmarks and managed to tag them. Here's what I've got from recs: deancastielnews

I found re(c)-hymenated from a link at deancastielnews. It was helpful at the time, but now it's mostly things I've found elsewhere...and kinda useful for fanart. 

Again, after many links through various sites, I struck gold! Rock Salt And Feathers has everything organized by author, rating, title, genre...just pick a topic. When I did, I was rewarded with MANY amazing fic! recs: RS&F

Strangeness and Charm used to have a really great header, but I found it months ago and the page has since changed. (I know I saved it somewhere!) The pic above is my own replacement...the real header wouldn't let me see it. It's actually a lot better now, but I do miss the Impala.
