February 2012 fic recs: deancastiel

Not much this month...although that could be due to my new thing for Once Upon A Time's Rumplestiltskin/Mr. Gold.../Robert Carlyle. I've actually spent the last week on fanfiction.net reading Once fic, and I've come to realize: just because I like the character and any potential pairing, there needs to be more emotion behind it and, in its first season, Once just doesn't have it yet. I love Rumple, but I'm in love with Dean and Cas. That makes fic worth it; the sex just isn't the same if I'm not completely connected with the characters...as I am with Dean/Cas ♥

January 2012 fic recs: deancastiel

Looks like I'm making up for lost time. We're only about halfway through the month and I've already got massive recs. I haven't read this many fics in one month in a looong time. They're pretty amazing, too. Might as well post now and keep reading. =)

Misha coming back has done wonders...although I tend to read because the reality is just too damn bleak to deal with and I can't drink anymore.

On a lighter note, I've really become a fan of AU, established relationships and graphic blow jobs; not all in one, but that helps. (End of Term hits the trifecta ;-)

I managed to get all my old fics re-tagged days before deancas_xmas! ...then missed the first few days of posting cuz I forgot. Figures. Still, this is my favorite time of year!

...missed my Dean/Cas anniversary, too. Dec. 24th isn't just Christmas Eve ya know...but I was working and...it's like my Supernatural life and real life are trying to merge. It's kinda bumpy, but I'm sure it'll even out this year. I just hope they bring Cas back and not just to kill him off for real...

I love my iPhone.

These are probably some of my favorites. I'd gotten over Cas being gone, for the most part, because as far as I'm concerned he's not dead. I've never said "dead" just gone; locked inside himself while this big bad Leviathan boss uses his meat. Cas is in there and I'm convinced Dean will get him out. 'Til then, there's fic. And I'm good with that.

Plus, Misha's scavenger hunt was a welcome distraction.

Aug. & Sept. 2011 fic recs: deancastiel

August = BostonCon, two weeks of mostly-non-stop driving to VanCon, then another week driving home.

September = idek; recovery, lol. Oh, right, drinking. The Faire is my favorite place to be drunk. The shows I've seen for years are so much more entertaining when intoxicated.

I had a problem, I know, but I loved every second of it. =P

July 2011 fic recs: deancastiel

Blogging with a Mac is a lot different than my old PC. Took a while, but I think I've got the hang of it.

I got an iPhone for my trip to Vancouver and I just thought it'd be easier, and less creepy, to listen to music in the booth because headphones up there aren't a great idea. I didn't even think about the possibilities of internet connection.

Thus, work=hiding upstairs reading fic, starting the occasional movie. I love my job.

June 2011 fic recs: deancastiel

It's been a tough year. Dean and Cas broke up; I died a little inside. So I took a cross-country trip to VanCon. Then my computer broke down when I got home. I think it was all the pics...

Now Cas is gone and, medically, I can no longer drink the pain away so I'm reading fic again. Fic is better than canon now anyway...which is probably the saddest thing EVER! My Mac has been nothing but good to me, I replaced all my bookmarks and re-tagged everything, so I think it's time to get back to rec'ing. It's been a while. Here's June:

Really big post with truly amazing fic...too bad it'll probly be the last. I know I've blocked out the last 2mins, but I'm sure fic won't completely allow that and I'm tired of crying. Maybe in a few months when we know more, but for now...I just don't think I can.
